Tool # 9

Tying technology into the objective is extremely important because students in this era are visual learners and technology is incredibly important to them. We should hold them responsible for their own stations because it teaches them to care for their materials. They become responsible and learn to be good leaders. They also learn to work with others more appropriately. I teach across all grade levels. I use small games or apps that allows the students to practice and learn on their own. Such apps like Piano lessons and site reading are great for stations. They are easy to use and can be used by having a stop watch or clock to switch from station to station so every student has the chance to use them for the same amount of time. They are able to record and listen to their own music and performances. For example, my choir class has their performance music recorded to their IPOD.. They are able to listen on their own and rehearse.
